HOLIDAY MIRACLES ON MAIN STREET You can HELP make this Holiday Season a nourished one for families in the U.S. For the second year, Humanity Unites Brilliance (HUB) will join Feed the Children and FEED333 as they combine efforts to create the single largest food distribution in the U.S. Last year HUB joined FEED333's effort to sponsor FIVE trucks that provided food, water, personal care items and toys for over 2000 families in Los Angeles. This year we look to expand our impact to include PHOENIX, LAS VEGAS, NEW YORK, and LOS ANGELES. Miracle on Madison - The PHOENIX Miracle - November 21, 2008 Here in Phoenix, the HUMAN SERVICES CAMPUS (HSC) and its clients are joining HUB Phoenix to find sponsors for 5 trucks of food and supplies for 2000 families. What makes the Phoenix Holiday Miracle special is that the clients of HSC are full partners in organizing and implementing this program to feed the “working poor”. Who are the Clients of the Human Services Campus? People without homes working on restoring their lives to self sufficiency. What is the Human Services Campus? An unprecedented collaboration of faith-based, non-profit, government, private, and community organizations that have co-located on a 13 acre site in downtown Phoenix to work together to end the condition of homelessness in our community. The HSC is a nationally recognized model for how to end homelessness by helping people help themselves. How Can You Help? Help us, the clients of the HSC, raise money to sponsor ONE of these 5 trucks. Each truck sponsorship delivers 400 boxes of food, 400 boxes of personal care items, and two pallets of assorted goods. The food and hygiene boxes are individually packaged for convenient distribution and contain a wide variety of essential items such as canned vegetables, pasta, soup, lotion, soap, etc. The retail value of each truck is up to $50,000. Each box of food is 26 pounds and will supplement a family of four for a week or more. Personal Care boxes are 18 pounds and can last several weeks. Each truck sponsorship is $12,500. If you would like to contribute toward our efforts to support the working poor families of this community you can do so by contributing money to help with the costs of these provisions. Checks should be made out to Feed333 and delivered to the Human Services Campus at 1201 W. Madison and/or contact the Managing Director of the HSC Arlene Pfeiff-Maraj at 602-229-1241, or simply donate online at www.feed333.org.

The clients of the Human Services Campus have come together to support our community’s working poor families. Who are the clients of the Human Services Campus?
We are people currently without homes… And we are mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, aunt, uncles, veterans, carpenters, nurses, pet lovers, artists, musicians, and grandparents. Some of us have mental illness, some have blonde hair, some have brown, some were born in our community and others were not. Some like Italian food some don’t. Some of us, like you, struggle with addictions. But we all have one thing in common, and that is a need for purpose and belonging, and a desire to give back and to support others when they need it most. Did You Know? ~Foreclosures have increased 57 percent year over year~ ~More Arizonans are on the streets…or choosing between medical care and food~ ~Families are the fastest growing population of homeless ~ ~U.S. Vets are the third fastest growing group ~ ~There are 13 million hungry children in the US~
What Can You Do? Help us help others. We are raising money to provide food boxes and provisions to the Valley’s working poor families to sustain them over the holiday week. On November 21st, 2008, in collaboration with the Human Services Campus in Phoenix, Humanity Unites Brilliance (HUB) and Feed333 will distribute these provisions to the families. The money that we raise will pay for provisions for 400 of the 2,000 families that will receive them.
